Hi! My name is Emily and I'm the owner of Mind Body Baby. I’m a certified Postpartum Doula CAPD (DV) through DoulaVersity. I am passionate about improving the postpartum experiences of mothers and babies in my area and would love to meet you! Frequently Asked Questions
Is a postpartum doula a nanny?
No, a postpartum doula isn't a nanny. Think of a postpartum doula more like a mother's helper:)
Will a postpartum doula take over?
Definitely not. I understand your role as a parent and never want to take that from you.
How long do moms normally hire you?
That is completely unique to the family i'm serving. I've gone as few as three times during the postpartum weeks, and other times i've gone several days a week for six weeks. It's up to you!
Will a postpartum doula help me keep up with housework?
Yes! I am happy to fold laundry, wash dishes, take out garbage, etc. However, postpartum doulas do not do deep cleans like scrubbing bathrooms or mopping floors.
I use cloth diapers, are you okay with that?
Absolutely! I am completely fine with however you want to diaper your baby.
Are you available to work nights?
At this point, I am not offering night doula services. If you are looking for a night nanny, please contact me and I can point you in the right direction.

Better Beginnings- $200
Two 5 hour days-prescheduled.
Supported Start- $400
Four 5 hour days-prescheduled
Firm Foundation- $600
Six 5 hour days-prescheduled
Nurtured Nest- $800
Eight 5 hour days-prescheduled.
Beyond the Bump-$1000
Ten 5 hour days-prescheduled.
Custom Packages
Custom made to fit a family who would like more than ten days of service. Please send me a message to set up this package.
One time appointments
One time appointments can be set up at $100 for a 5 hour day. These appointments are based on availability.
Extra Charges
If clients are located in Mobile or Escambia County, a $10 charge will be added to each appointment cost.
Families with twins/multiples will be charged $5 extra per hour.
